David Dinnage (Gallery)

Herbert Wildon Carr, a wealthy London stockbroker, bought Martin's, a half-timbered farmhouse at Bury, as a holiday home in 1899. It burned down in about 1909 or 1910 and Carr built Bury House on the site, later occupied by John Galsworthy
