Sanitary inspector, 178 Edmund Road, Hastings (from 1909 or earlier to at least 1939). King sold black and white real photographic cards of houses in residential streets, presumably direct to the occupants or owners. The cards lack captions. As far as is known, he did not publish any general "view" cards of the town or cards of special events. His postcard publishing was very much a spare time hobby and cannot have been an important source of income.

This website is indebted to David Kibble for supplying scans of the cards selected for illustration. Grateful thanks are due also to Brian Lawes for establishing that the card of Edmund Road shows the photographer's own home and very probably his daughter.
